What’s it all about?
Hi, I’m Kate, a UK based freelance blogger, Social Media Manager and mother to two boys (Ben – 21, Dexter – 12). Oh, and a very occasional dater.
WitWitWoo started in July 2010 after I graduated from Uni as a mature student, and it gave me an outlet to continue to do what I studied, and what I loved … writing. I’d go as far as to say it changed my life.
I also work as a Social Media + Digital Manager, and have a passion for technology, all things digital and, of course, social media – ‘the day job’ came about through blogging, and has enabled me to work as a freelancer from home. I feel very fortunate.
WitWitWoo is about me and, occasionally, my small, but perfectly formed family. No two days are the same in my world, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. WitWitWoo is a ‘lifestyle and travel‘ blog, but I’m equally passionate about other things too – particularly losing weight, keeping fit, food and cooking, interiors and photography. The blog follows my life, so whatever I happen to be doing at that time, I’ll blog about it. My children are older now, have their own lives and so tend to take more of a backseat these days.
Things I love doing: Travelling, cycling, Spin classes, Zumba, cooking, gin and Slimming World … oh and spending time with my family and friends of course.
My love of travel led me to co-create a separate, collaborative, travel blog with two fantastic bloggers and We Blog Travel started in May 2015.
I am consistently in the top 0.005% (pretty specific!) of all UK Lifestyle blogs (according to Hibs100 – the UK’s largest community of parent bloggers) and you can see my social media reach clearly marked on the homepage of my blog and in my media kit.
If you’re interested in advertising on the blog, please contact me for rates. I am happy to work with brands if I feel we’re a good match so it’s always worth striking up a conversation to discuss potential sponsored posts, product reviews, videos, attending events or trips away. I’ve had the pleasure of working with a lot of major brands in the past few years and if you’d like to see who I’ve worked with before, please head over to my ‘Work With’ page.
