They’re a nice lot, the guys at Long Tall Sally. You may have seen me talk about Long Tall Sally several times on the blog this year and suffice to say, I’m a bit of a LTS fan. When I created several Christmas wishlists, I was lucky enough to be sent some of the items I featured so I thought I’d attempt a little ‘modelling’ (ie. stand awkwardly outside my house and get Dexter to take photos as quickly as possible before my neighbours come out) … and show you what I chose!
I have worn these boots most days since they were sent to me and they are brilliant! Not only do they look good, but they have been so comfortable from Day 1 – not rubbing me at all. There is a zip on the inside of the boot so you don’t have to worry about doing laces up each time, and I just think they look really smart. It’s a really high quality boot so I expect these to last me years! And if you’re quick, you can pick them up for £30 less than RRP.
Everyone needs a comfy, baggy go-to black jumper for Winter … and this is it. I chose it in a size 20 and it’s massive! (Which is perfect for this time of year!) The sleeves are really long, but that’s fine with this style of jumper. It’s slightly longer at the back too so it can cover up your Christmas wobbles!
Lift & Shape Jeans
Being a freelancer, I tend to live in jeans during the week but being a plus-size woman who also happens to be fairly tall, finding a great pair of jeans is tricky. This is the first pair of LTS jeans I’ve ever tried out and again, the quality is excellent. They’re a little long if you’re not wearing heels, but I’m ‘only’ 5ft 9′ so I’m actually on the shorter end of the tall scale at LTS I think. Again, I chose a size 20 and they fit perfectly – 2 buttons on the waist with the zip and I think they give me a really nice shape. I would say, however, that I expect skinny jeans to be skinny all the way to the ankle and because they’re a little too long for me, they’re slightly baggier on the lower calf. It’s not a problem though, but I just want you to know what to expect!
I first wore this coat on the coldest day of the year so far (end of December) and I’m so glad I did. It’s quite possibly the warmest coat I’ve ever owned and I think this is due to the fact that it’s down-filled. You get what you pay for and although this is on the expensive side, I would see it as an investment. The hood is detachable and the pockets are nice and deep – the leather trim adding a nice touch. It also happens to currently be in the sale!
Big props go to my resident sidekick Dexter for taking these photos! And a big thank you to Long Tall Sally for kitting me out – I loved everything!
