Bake Escape

I have a new addiction. It’s not Star Bars. Or Baileys flavoured cheesecake. Or toasted cheese and peanut butter sandwiches. (I’m addicted to them all already). It is food related though.

When I was asked to check out a new game called Bake Escape, I wondered if it would really be for me. I mean, I’m a woman in demand after all and wasn’t sure if I’d find the time for something that is only for fun. OK, I’m clearly not in demand, but I wasn’t sure I could find the time to play an online game.

Funnily enough, it turns out I could totally find the time and I’ve not stopped playing it since!

Bake Escape

As the name may suggest, it’s a game with a cake theme (they’re the best games after all), and it’s what is called a match-three type game and is incredibly easy to play. Suffice to say, Dexter, my ten-year-old has been watching me play and wants to join in – the problem with that is that I’m incredibly competitive and letting him join in defeats the object of ME WINNING AT ALL COSTS.

(Having said that, were I the type of parent that did share, it’s totally suitable for children – aimed at ages 4+.)

If you’re on Twitter and/or Facebook, feel free to join in the chat online using the #BakeEscape hashtag – it’s a great way to make new friends, support each other when you get to Level 16 (trust me, the euphoria when you finally complete that level is well worth shouting about!) and just have a bit of fun!

I can’t remember the last time I took time out just to do something that was so frivolous and fun. It feels like I’m constantly on the go. When I’m not working, I’m doing things for the boys … and vice versa. It’s actually really nice just to take ten minutes out occasionally to chill out and do something a little different.

The app is available for iPhones and iPads and you can download it from iTunes here. I would love to have more friends to play with 🙂  AND IT’S FREE TO DOWNLOAD!

Here’s a short video to give you an idea of how much fun the game is:
