disneyland paris

So I’ve just come back from a press trip with Canvas Holidays to Berny Riveriere in France and I’ll be blogging about that when I come back from my holiday (did I mention I’m off to Fuerteventura tomorrow?!) … but in the meantime I just couldn’t resist putting this piece of footage live this evening because even now, 2 days on, it still makes me giggle.

I’m notoriously rubbish on rollercoasters. Β In fact, the last ‘proper’ one I went on (Legoland doesn’t count apparently) was The Big One in Blackpool when I was there on a hen night over 15 years ago. Β I had such an awful experience on it that it scarred me for life and so when the opportunity came up to try one out in Disneyland Paris, I thought it was about time I took it. Β OK, we’re not talking the Nemesis here … but nor are we talking spinning Teacups – perhaps somewhere in between?

Anyway, it was a big step for me but I was with 4 other fabulous bloggers and I didn’t want to be the odd one out so I braved it.

And screamed throughout the whole ride.

I hope you enjoy the video as much as we enjoyed making it!

  1. Just watched this muted as hubs is asleep, soooo jealous of this though: I have been to DLP twice, the first time this ride was being renovated and closed, the second time they closed the queue as it was too long and I never got back around to that part of the park.

  2. This video makes me laugh every single time I watch it!!
It was a fab trip, wasn’t it?!

  4. The Boy has just come rushing in to find out what’s going on, that is hysterical! I love Amanda’s face in the background once it’s stopped.

And what do you mean that Legoland isn’t a proper one? Dammit!
