The annual blogging conference, Britmums, is nearly upon us and for those in the blogging world, you’ll know what a great event it is.
I wasn’t sure whether to go this year or not – I worked for Britmums last year as a room moderator, introducing guest speakers and encouraging questions from the floor, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. This year, however, I wanted to feel more ‘included’ as part of the conference and so began The Search For A Sponsor.
Finding a sponsor isn’t easy – there are a lot of fellow bloggers looking for that special partnership for a start, but for me, it was also important that I found a brand to work with that a) I really liked and b) that wanted to do something different with me. So to speak.
And then it all just fell into place when Bahlsen got in touch – yep, the posh biscuit people! What a perfect brand to work with … posh and sweet, just like me.
So Bahlsen came up with this great idea … I would start a Pay It Forward campaign … which actually coincides with today being Pay It Foward Day! (No, I didn’t know that was a thing either.) (#BahlsenPIF)
If you don’t know what that is, it’s basically a ‘one good deed deserves another’ concept … so Bahlsen are very kindly sponsoring me to go to Britmums and I get to Pay It Forward by doing something nice for a fellow blogger!
I haven’t decided who it will be yet … and it doesn’t even have to be of any monetary value, so I’m going to get my thinking cap on and think about someone that deserves something nice.
I’m very excited to have the opportunity to meet lots of new bloggers at Britmums this year – I’ve been blogging for 4 years and the blogging scene really has changed a lot in that time, but you’re never too old to meet new people and learn new things, even at my age of … 26.
