My friend Chrissie from Mediocre Mum tagged me in a meme recently.  This is no ordinary meme.  It’s not about my fridge contents, nor is it a classy Guardian-esque Q&A meme.  No … this is hardcore.

This …. is …. Karaoke!

Coincidentally, the day she tagged me I had arranged one of those random, very, very rare nights out with my best friend.  For the purposes of this post, we’ll call her Jo.  For that is her name.  So, Jo and I had a lunchtime meeting (in the pub) about where to go that night … these things often take military precision planning, and we decided it was imperative that we went dancing.

Dancing and drinking.

An often lethal combination.

All I’ll say is this … £1 a drink.

There were too many clips of us dancing and singing to choose from, so I chose the ones that embarrassed me the least.

My excuse?  I don’t have an excuse.  As cringeworthy as this footage is, I loved every minute!

So here you go … I think it’s safe to say, we’ve all been there, right? 🙂

Oh, and this:

I just don’t know what to say.  I’m a brilliant singer, right?!  Tell me something I don’t know 🙂

Only one thing left to do, and that’s tag some other people.   This is fun!

Elsie at The Babylon Lane Tales

Claire at Cheshire Mum

Sally at Todd Stars Tales

Mary at Lincoln and Me

Jo at Bouche In The City

And last but not least, and only because she asked me not to, but Penny at Alexander Residence.  You’re welcome Penny 🙂

Not sure if anyone is daft enough (like me) to do it, but I haven’t had so much fun in ages!

Sorry y’all, but you’ve been tagged!

  3. Wow, that is seriously impressive! Looks like you had a blast. It reminded me that there is some seriously embarrassing footage of me being Tina Turner lurking around the web somewhere. Must find it. And destroy!

    1. What was impressive was how much we drank and still managed to stand up! I even made the school run the next morning! 🙂 If ever you want to guest blog your Tina Turner impression, I’d be more than willing to put it on here 🙂
