It’s officially the last day of January. Thank. God. That was a tough month wasn’t it? Now I’m not going to lie, I can’t promise February will be that much better BUT, I’m a huge glass is half full type of woman and I’m going to put January behind me and start thinking about the summer.
Aaah, the summer. Sunshine. Beaches. Picnics. Warmer climes. Lazing by the pool. Drinking Aperol Spritzes outside an Italian café. Gelato … well, gelato every day, no matter what country I’m in. Suffice to say, I’ve got my positive pants on and I’m going to make a conscious effort to continue to fill my life with ‘good stuff’.
And with that in mind, let me introduce you to a new company called The Luxury Holiday Company. The clue is in the name … they are a travel agency who offer bespoke luxury holidays.
Now I’ve always used travel agents to buy my holidays, and I’ve never had a bad experience. I’ve been reassured by their knowledge and advice they’re able to give, especially if I’m going to a country I haven’t visited before. And when you’re going to an exotic country, and you want a holiday that’s a bit more expensive than the average package holiday, it pays to talk to someone that really knows what they’re talking about.
The Luxury Holiday Company has over 210 years of collective travel specialist experience and their aim is to help provide a one-of-a-kind holiday experience that you will treasure forever. Their travel consultants are not just well-travelled, but have often lived in the destinations they specialise in, so they are able to offer a first-hand insight into the experiences, places and culture of the places you’re interested in. In other words, they know exactly what they’re talking about.
Now until I become an international best selling author (so that’s at least until August), I haven’t been able to experience one of these amazing holidays first-hand. At least not yet. But isn’t it great to dream? To think about a time when I can?
One of the great things about this company is that when they create tailor-made holidays for you, they don’t suggest places that they might have an underhand commitment to. They have no obligation to send their clients to specific hotels or place them on certain airlines, so you know that whatever they suggest, it’s the best option for you, not for the hotel or airline. That definitely gives me peace of mind.
And one more thing I wanted to mention … if you’re organising that luxurious holiday of a lifetime, why not travel to the airport in style? When booking with The Luxury Holiday Company, included in every one of their holidays is a private chauffeur service from your home to the UK airport, and back home again afterwards. (I’d love to see my neighbours’ faces when a chauffeur driven car pulls up!) Premium airport lounge access is included as standard, no matter what cabin class you fly (think G&T on top) and, wherever possible, they will include private transfers. There’s also a mobile app which includes all the information you need – destination information, GPS-powered maps, your itinerary and travel documentation pre-loaded onto it and the ability to share your holiday details with your friends.
You can find some sample itineraries on the website, and this one about Japan particularly caught my eye. Namely because Dexter asks to go to Japan on a daily basis, but it really looks like a stunning place to visit. One day. Sigh …
I hope that’s given you a good insight into this company, and if you’re ever in the market for a bespoke, luxurious, holiday, give them a call. In the meantime, continue to dream big, to be as positive as you can about life at the moment and pray for sunshine!
