I haven’t been to a theme park since an embarrassing episode at Margate’s Dreamland amusement park in 1982. My long, white skirt got caught in the looping Mary Rose boat ride and I showed more than I had intended to.
Thankfully, amusement parks have changed since then. My eight-year-old Dexter and I were lucky enough to go to Legoland Windsor Resort for the day so I thought I’d share a few of my top tips for a successful visit…
I don’t like queues. There are always queues in amusement parks. One way to beat the crowds is to buy the Q Bot ticket, which enables you to push in front of everyone. But be warned, it’s expensive (from £15 per person per day) – and people at the back of the queue will stare at you!
